Wake Up Now

Freedom Is Simple

Wake Up Now

(Exercising Your Mind) Freedom is simple; all you have to do is wake up now.

That is all there is to it.

But so many of us do not find it necessary to wake up now because we do not feel  we have been somehow asleep.

And maybe we are not actually asleep like when we lay down for bed at night, but there is a passive state that comes over us when we submit to things we disagree with.

Some may find the suggestion to wake up now to be absolutely ridiculous, because along with the statement that freedom is simple; there is a suggestion that we are not free.

The disturbing truth is that we are not completely free.

Not you or I.

But the suggestion to wake up now implies that we can be totally free.

And what we are seeking to be totally free to do, is to choose what authority figures we readily take our behavioral suggestions from.

This is in contrast to being forced to submit to a few authorities, or being tricked into ignoring certain sources in favor of those that the initiated decide for us.

But even though all you have to do is wake up now, and this is the key to simple freedom; this does not mean it is in any way easy.

Just like it is a simple activity to go to the gym or to exercise often enough to remain fit and healthy; this does not mean it is easy.

Exercising Your Mind is even more difficult.

It is difficult because it requires the acceptance of responsibility.

And accepting responsibility is often very intimidating since it means that we have to be mindful, and aware, which takes a lot of focus and “work”.

So many of us would rather sit back and allow life to unfold easily without much personal effort on our part.

Because we have been hypnotized to believe that effort and work are difficult.

But we are not intimidated by things being difficult.

It is the meaning we have been implanted with about difficulty.

And this meaning is that difficulty is unpleasant or painful.

We do not like unpleasant or painful.

So when difficulty equals pain, we move away from difficulty.

But this equation is mostly in thought and not in royalty (reality).

Without realizing that most things which may be difficult, are very much worth the effort and focus that we put into work.

It is easy to sit around on the couch, and eat unhealthy food.

But this results in the real pain of disease.

It is difficult to exercise and eat sensibly, but the result is the pleasure of health and fitness when it is done correctly.

But you can not move towards the pleasure of health if you do not know that you are somehow a slave.

This is unconscious incompetence.

You are not aware of what you don’t know.

Because what you should know in order to make informed decisions has been hidden from your awareness somehow.

But once you move into conscious incompetence, you are at least admitting that there are things that you ought to know about being free that you do not yet know.

Then, once you are at the point where you are thinking about what you are doing to be free, and applying these things, you have moved into conscious competence.

Finally, you will move into the unconscious competence stage where your new default setting is one of carefully and critically examining your actions, as you think and do things that allow more freedom.

If this is not something you already know how to do, it is certainly something that you can learn how to do.

But the real truth is that you so already know.

Because freedom is simple.

It is what we are all really meant to be.

Just realize that there may be more to life than you have been experiencing.

Pay attention to that gnawing feeling that you have not yet been living up to your fullest potential, or admit that you may have given up somewhere along the way.

Then simply refuse to lay down and submit to destructive authority and…

Wake Up Now!
