(Exercising Your Mind) We can make ourselves more “lucky”
I know this because I live a very lucky life.
I live a life in a world where everything just seems to fall into place for me all the time, exactly according to my intentions, beliefs, and expectations.
I am so certain of my own good fortune and luck, that many years ago, I put together an acronym for L.U.C.K.
Love. Understanding. Compassion. Kindness.
Not only do I expect to be so fortunate that I am in such good spirits often enough to show others love, understanding, compassion, and kindness; but I also expect these things from other people.
And the magic of this all is that this is usually what my experience of life is, no matter what situation.
But I also have witnessed that people with fatalistic attitudes seem to have the opposite type of luck than I do.
The fatalistic types, or pessimists appear to have a lot more bad luck.
All of this points to the concept of the self-fulfilling prophecy.
And prophecy is really just the dominant thought that you will get exactly what you expect.
Like an OMEN.
But the art and science of hypnosis has enlightened me to an even more interesting process at work.
Somehow belief in good luck creates a state of mind that actually attracts the good luck that we believe in.
And exploring even further, it has been discovered that this belief actually motivates us to embrace opportunities more often than when we are not in the winning state of mind.
People who believe in good luck are more persistent, and apply their concentration, and focus more upon the opportunities for receiving the good luck that they intend and expect.
It is this very specific mind-set that I have learned to recreate and share as a hypnotist.
It is a vibrant expectation in the success that we intend to have.
Because this mentality keeps us aware of the opportunities all around us for what we desire to achieve, and in a mood that believes that we will achieve it.
If something changes in you, then you approach life much differently.
This is how you create your own luck; by changing how you approach life.
I will also be going into more details over the next few weeks and months, right here on HypnoAthletics.
