Eros: Olympus Has Fallen In Love
Did not Lucifer and the Rebel Angels fall from Heaven, the so-called Paradise where lives God and those Angels who did not betray?
It does not seem like falling is such a good thing.
You would not want to fall off of a ladder, from a tall building, or from an airplane without a parachute; would you?
Yet we are told to regard Sleep, and Love as states that we fall into.
Olympus Has Fallen In Love With Eros
In the Mythology of the Greeks, Eros is the God of Love.
Maybe even the Son of Aphrodite: The Goddess of Love, pleasure, beauty, and sex.
Eros gives his name to the word erotic. A word that is often taboo in cultures distracted with violence, and Death.
A sleeping world drugged into the Hypnotic Sleep of the Blue Pill.
The Sleeping Giant
When David sling-shot a stone into the head of Goliath, the giant did sleep.
What some call the “BIG Sleep”.
And in fact, the father of Sleep is Death.
The father of Hypnos is Thanatos.
And we are like giants. Sometimes…
…As we roll along the Earth to wipe out jungles, and forests to install the urban and suburban sprawls.
What will be the stone between our eyes?
Should not a stone from the sky be the demise of us all?
And like Rebel Angels we shall fall.
Deep, deep into the “Big Sleep”.
Yet how is this like Love?
Why should Death, and Love be partnered in such a subtle dance?
Those who choose to wed say in marriage “til death do us part“.
Do you find love when you sleep?
I think not.
Do you find love when you dream?
I assure you this is possible, for I have been in love with many an Angel in my Dreams.
Yet dreams are the beginning of the Awakening, while Sleep is the soothing clutch of the unconscious realm nearing Death.
Shall we find Love when we die?
Do we die when we Love?
What connection is there in Love, and Sleep, and Death?
We “fall” asleep because we must do so for our good health.
Some may argue against this, but I insist that our good health also depends on us “falling” in Love.
And the giant Goliath did fall, a mighty fall unto his demise of death.
If we fall into Sleep, the grip of Hypnos and into Love, the embrace of Eros; then do we also fall from Paradise?
It is said that the wage of sin is Death.
We pay this wage to Thanatos.
Then we spend our time with Hades, the Lord of the UnderWorld.
Are Love and Sleep sins?
Is it a sin to rest, and another to adore?
Good health is Life.
But without sleep or love, then we may become ill.
Without sleep or love we may die.
Yet we are also falling. Falling asleep; falling in love; falling from Heaven.
Mightier Than The Sword
Can these states even be compared?
Or, do you find me a fool for mixing up what you might believe to be an insignificant, linguistic formality?
A simple triviality of language?
Are not words the tools of Magicians?
These very basic symbols that we use to ink our laws with.
Poems are written, and seduce many hearts to fall in love.
Hypnotists drone the conscious mind to fall asleep.
Kings, Presidents, and Generals command with the word, and wage wars that cause brothers, sisters, and nations to Fall into the Game of Death.
Because we cast spells when we do spell out the words that write the stories of our lives.
So should we play with crayons or knives?
Shall we solve equations with pencils or razors?
Are we signing agreements of Peace with Pens; or signing declarations of war with Swords?
Pride Goes Before
Maybe I would give up Sleep in favor of Heaven and God if it were really a sin. But Love?
Is not the God of the celebrated religions of Abraham a God of Love?
There is but one thing that I would turn my back on Eternal Paradise for.
I am much too proud of my Heart.
And I would surely follow the Devil in descent, and fall into the pit, if my choice was “Heaven, or Love?”
The Bigger They Are
Why have you forsaken me?
Is it because of Love?
Or was that only pride?
Do I even really know what Love is?
Is Love not something to be proud of?
What was I born to do other than to Love?
I do not wish for anything else except for Love.
I will love until my Heart expands, and Red Shifts beyond the Universe.
I shall Love until there is nothing left except for Love – and God of course.
I MUST Love because that is all that I feel is to be done.
So that the Hearts of Lovers grow into GIANTS.
Let the Hearts expand larger, and greater. So that Love grows bigger, and bigger every moment.
And not only shall the Hearts of Lovers grow, but the ones who truly Love shall also become Giants.
And of course, the harder they shall Fall in Love.
Awaken The Sleeping Giant
The mistake is only to label Love as something to fall into.
This is the answer to the puzzle; The secret of the linguistic game.
We rise in Love. There is no falling when there is true Love.
It does not matter if it is Love for God; Love for our fellow nations; Love for brothers, and sisters; or the Love of Romance.
Love is Universal.
Love is all things.
Love is found in Dreams, but not in Sleep. Love is found when we stir with the winds.
And Love is always the stuff of our awakening.
Love is when a world of Lovers speak together with a unified voice, and vision; and bend the Universe to their Loving will.
Love is the Giant.
Awaken Your Sleeping Giant.
I Believe In You.
Believe In YourSelf.
