Clinical Post-Hypnotic Suggestion Clearing

By Hakeem Alexander

(Exercising Your Mind) Clinical or Therapeutic Hypnosis is a process by which a client is lead into a trance-like or hyper-suggestible state for the purposes of therapeutically assisting the hypnotized client. This is accomplished using clinically proven trance-induction techniques to gain entry or access to the client’s subconscious mind. Trance-induction techniques vary according to each individuals suggestibility type. Generally, some people respond more therapeutically to direct and paternal suggestions, some respond more favorably to indirect or maternal suggestions and others are more balanced and may respond to both or either types and are most readily suggestible.

All Hypnosis has been clinically recognized and determined to be Self-Hypnosis. The Laws of Self-Hypnosis are Repetition, Association and
Impression. Information that is Repeated becomes more like belief or accepted reality,
especially when Associated with physical or emotional feelings and
vibrations which is then Impressed or planted in the subconscious mind.
Building upon this information, the Hypnotic Mind Theory (HMT) is a
concept that empowers a person to
intelligently maintain and cultivate their own subconscious mind into a
highly functional, responsible mind that responds appropriately to
relevant conditions. This learning
process is a form of Clearing Hypnosis that may be facilitated in a fully aware,
awake and conscious state while the conscious mind is active and still
on guard.

Hypnos: The Greek god of sleep.
While the trance-state of hypnosis is not actually sleep, it uses the name of the Greek god of sleep to imply that the conscious mind and its ability to work as an information filter, gate-keeper or guard of the subconscious mind behaves as if it were asleep on the job under certain conditions. Also, the person being hypnotized is often, though not necessarily, in a relaxed and passive physical state which also resembles sleep.

The “Theory of Mind” that explains why trance-induction works reveals that the conscious mind acts much like a gate-keeper that filters what information is allowed inception to the subconscious mind. However, when the conscious mind is distracted, misdirected or put to “sleep”, the subconscious mind becomes more vulnerable to suggestion or inception which it is very responsive to. It is this very clinical process that has demonstrated that suggestions may be implanted unwillingly and unknowingly within a person’s subconscious mind and act as energy wasting prompters when keyed-in and re-stimulated. This may be done deliberately by someone aware of how to induce the trance-state or if a person is not aware that they are consciously distracted or “asleep” somehow.

There are many ways in which a person’s conscious abilities may be put to “sleep” and therefore not be able to effectively do its job as gate-keeper of the subconscious mind. If a person is overloaded by message-units, fatigued, stressed; mentally, physically or emotionally traumatized; injured, drunk or drugged, the conscious mind is then essentially neutralized and less functional. When this happens, any messages, information and the vibrational energy contained within them are then allowed to pass into and more often than not, become planted in the subconscious mind. These types of prompters usually carry with them emotions, physical feelings and vibrational energy that are uncomfortable, distressing or in some other way negative.

It must be noted that useful and desirable information that the conscious mind allows entry into the subconscious mind also plant themselves there for later use. This is more often referred to as learning. However, these prompters that are allowed for their constructive use always have emotions, physical feelings and vibrational energy that is comforting, calming or in many ways uplifting and positive. They may even carry no emotion or feeling with them and be unnoticeable due to their passive and neutral vibrational energy.

Any one or more post-hypnotic suggestions that are passed onto and implanted in the subconscious mind create a vibrational or neurological receptivity to the messages, information and vibrations that were contained in the original trance-inducing state or incident. At a later time these may be re-stimulated at anytime by a vibrationally compatible prompter.

Post-Hypnotic Suggestion Clearing, Hypno-Athletics, or Hypno-Analysis is a process that has been clinically developed to remove or clear unwanted post-hypnotic suggestions or negative prompters from turning the subconscious mind into a dysfunctional, reactive mind that unconsciously reacts to various re-stimulating factors. This Clearing process is a form of Hypnosis that may be facilitated in a fully aware, awake and conscious state while the conscious mind is active and still on guard.
