(Exercising Your Mind) In 2008 while riding the Los Angeles Local Metro Bus, I was approached by a blue-eyed, blond-haired man calling himself “D.J. Mack Boogaloo“.

He was attracted to me because I was carrying my guitar, and he made it known that he himself was a musician.

According to an online post and what Mack Boogaloo told me, he seems to be on a mission to share the “Evolutionary cosmic insights into the MUSIC, LIGHT and CULTURE of the BLACK DIASPORA (Mother Africa and her offspring!!!) proving that MUSIC CAN CHANGE THE WORLD… literally!”

After some conversation, he suggested that I reference the frequency A = 432 Hz tuning, as a preference to A = 440 Hz. What this means is that when I tune the A note / A string on my guitar, it will vibrate with a frequency of 432-cycles-per-second (cps) or Hertz (Hz), which would be considered “flat” by the usual standards.

All of the other notes of course, are also tuned down by 8 Hz. Indeed, several musicians have told me that my guitar sounds flat to them upon hearing it being played.

I learned that there may be health benefits associated with this frequency shift to 432-Hz because it somehow resonated more with nature, being harmonious with life and such.

I decided to adopt this tuning method for a few years to determine if there was any noticeable effect on me or anyone who would hear me perform. The added significance of the number 432 only became apparent to me more recently as my research has progressed.

One investigative method I modeled was found in the documentary “Secrets in Plain Sight” created by Scott Onstott and published on YouTube.

In this captivating production, Onstott offers “an awe inspiring exploration of great art, architecture, and urban design which skillfully unveils an unlikely intersection of geometry, politics, numerical philosophy, religious mysticism, new physics, music, astronomy, and world history“.

In a similar regard, but with far more sinister undertones, many parallels and an even deeper plot unfolds through an astonishing book I am currently reading by authors Richard C. Hoagland and Mike Bara called “Dark Mission: The Secret History of NASA”. (Revised and Expanded New Edition, 2009.)

“A conspiratorial opus and investigative quest, Dark Mission opens the reader’s mind to a surreal hall of mirrors – a world where occult sects masquerade as government agencies, where the mute spheres of the solar system conceal ancient alien artifacts and hyper-dimensional messages that may be critical for our survival. Secrets in Plain Sight and Dark Mission suggested to me the intriguing possibilities for decoding of a few puzzles found in Joseph P. Farrell’s book, “The Cosmic War: Interplanetary Warfare, Modern Physics and Ancient Texts“; 2007. The book explores the hypothetical possibility that the solar system may have been the stage of an ancient war between highly advanced civilizations, with the technology sufficient to cause entire planets to explode! One of the difficulties in the investigation of this “Exploding Planet Hypothesis”, is finding clues to an approximate age or time when this “Cosmic War” occurred.

In chapter 5 of the book on page 105, Farrell proceeds by addressing the age and timing problem through an exploration of the book “Hamlet’s Mill: An Essay on Myth and the Frame of Time” by Giorgio de Santillana and Hertha von Dechind, 1969. Farrell writes:

“One of the overlooked areas of De Santillana’s and Von Dechind’s work is the galactic and astronomical-astrological context in which they understand the ancient mythological references to the Deluge, to war, and other apocalyptic imagery. An entry into their discussion is afforded by their remarks on the gigantic war between the Pandavas and the Kauravas in the Hindu epic, the Mahabharata: ‘The epic states unmistakably that this tremendous war was fought during the interval between the Dvapara and the Kali Yuga.’ A significant clue is thus afforded from yet another mythological source as to when it dates its major ‘war of the gods in heaven’.”

     “To see why, a brief summary of Hindu thought on its ‘world ages’ or ‘yugas’ is in order. In its most basic form, there are four great ‘yugas’ or ages. They begin in a ‘Golden Age’ and each yuga thereafter is an age that is declined from the previous one. Each age is thousands of normal years in length, though each age is of a different length. In order then, these yugas, with their lengths in years, are:

• The Satya Yuga: 1,728,000 years
• The Treta Yuga 1,296,000 years
• The Dvapara Yuga 864,000 years
• The Kali Yuga 432,000 years”

If you have not yet noticed, allow me to emphasize that the Kali Yuga in years is 432,000, which is 1,000 times the 432 in Hertz that I tune my guitar to. More significantly, 432,000 is the average, or mean radius of the Sun in miles. That is, if you draw a straight line segment from the exact center of the Sun viewed as a flat 2-dimensional disk or pie, to the perimeter or edge of the disk, it would measure 432,000 miles long. These dimensions of the Sun were impressed upon me thanks to the documentary by Scott Onstott, allowing me to recognize this connection including evidence that the ancient scientists could be familiar with the unit of measurement currently known as the mile

The diameter of the Sun, which is a straight line originating on one side, passing through the center of the disk or pie, and ending on the other side, is exactly twice the length of the radius of 432,000 miles by definition, 2 x 432,000 = 864,000 miles. 864,000 is the length of the Dvapara Yuga in years. My conclusion is that perhaps the yugas will not provide clues to the approximate time these Cosmic Wars were fought, but instead are the very accurate measurements of the Sun, recorded by the ancient authors of the Hindu texts.

The years of the Treta Yuga, 1,296,000, is just the Dvapara Yuga, 864,000, plus 432,000 of the Kali Yuga. Following this, the Satya Yuga is simply the Treta Yuga plus the Kali Yuga which equals 1,728,000. These are all just multiples of 432,000. This by itself is probably just a coincidence, and I might have left it at that, if I did not recognize some other interesting numerical similarities in another ancient text possibly corresponding with astronomical measurements.

The Physics Fact Book: An Encyclopedia of Scientific Essays (online) links to an entry titled “Diameter of the Sun; Edited by Glenn Elert — Written by his students. This internet resource says of the Sun’s Diameter: “The Sun has a diameter of 865,000 miles or 1.3 million kilometers. Its diameter is 109 times the diameter of earth“.

Following up on the next potential cosmic connection, I will quote Farrell at length followed by my alternate interpretation, highlighting the dimensions of another familiar cosmic body in our solar-system. On pages 178 and 179 of The Cosmic War, working now with research from author Andrew Collins’ 2002 publication “The Gods of Eden: Egypt’s Lost Legacy and the Genesis of Civilization“, Joseph P. Farrell writes:

“As I outlined above, the mysterious ‘Sound Eye‘ may be a metaphor for the type of electro-acoustic stresses in the medium that form a central component in scalar physics. Collins himself is alive to the possibility that something dangerous may lie far beneath the Giza complex, as the Edfu texts themselves imply: ‘What was the… divine power source spoken of in the Edfu texts? Was it still there beneath the limestone bedrock awaiting discovery, or had it been removed and destroyed long ago?’ Collins leaves no doubts about the power attributed to it in the texts:

• Illustrations of the House of Sokar show a fiery-orange bell shaped omphalos…. This object is placed in direct relationship with both a sacred island… and the mound of creation, suggesting therefore that it was synonymous with the ’embryo’, ‘seed’, ‘egg’, etc. of the Edfu and Theban creation myths, as well as with the Heliopolitan concept of the benben-stone.
• Were we therefore dealing with the presence at the heart of the underworld complex of some kind of enormous sacred stone associated with the potency of cosmic creation? Did it embody the coming together, the crystallization, of the universe’s creative power source?

On the basis of what I said earlier regarding the ‘Sound Eye’ I believe the answer to this is probably yes.

     But Collins adduces ‘one more tantalizing piece of evidence which hints at the presence of something of extreme magical potency beneath the bedrock of Giza-Rostau.’ Spell 1080 of the Heliopolitan Coffin Texts states ‘This is the sealed thing which is in darkness, with fire about it, which contains the efflux of Osiris, and it is put in Rostau. It has been hidden since it fell from him, and it is what came down from him onto the desert of sand.’ Collins then comments that spell 1080

• Points clearly to the fact that this powerful object has been sealed away in total darkness. Yet despite its solitary confinement, Spell 1080 still tells us that it has ‘fire about it’; implying that it emits some form of divine fire or radiance, exactly what is stated in the Edfu texts in connection with the nucleus of the underworld complex. That the ‘sealed thing’ is said to have been ‘put in Rostau’, where it now lies hidden, seems doubly to confirm that we are dealing with an actual physical object inside an underground world that exists to this day beneath the sands of Giza.“

Again, if you have not yet noticed, allow me to emphasize that the number 1080 in “Spell 1080” appears to me to be referring to the radius of the Moon. Our Moon’s radius is 1,080 miles.

From what I know of Egyptian mythology, the left eye of the god Horus, who is the son of Isis and Osiris, was represented as the Moon. Thus, the Moon may be what is actually meant by the “Sound Eye” metaphor. Also, the Moon, appearing to be an giant glowing rock in the sky might also be referred to as an “enormous sacred stone”.

When it is mentioned that “…the sealed thing which is in darkness, with fire about it, which contains the efflux of Osiris” could be describing the Sun (sealed thing) being sealed or eclipsed by the Moon, and the corona of the Sun appearing as “the efflux of Osiris“. Further, the remarks “It has been hidden since it fell from him, and it is what came down from him onto the desert of sand” may be a reference to the Moon setting below the horizon and going to the “underworld” (beneath the sands of Giza) as the Moon eventually does after its travel across the night sky.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) lists the following information about the Moon on its nasa.gov website: “The mean diameter of the Moon is 2,159 miles (3,476 km or .27 x Earth diameter)”. “It orbits the Earth at an average distance of approximately 240,000 miles (384,000 km)“.

It is generally accepted that modern astronomers have approximated the radius and diameter of the Moon and Sun pretty accurately. We even have a very simple set of basic arithmetic to check the sizes of these two celestial objects, in relation to the diameters and radii given so far, in addition to their distances relative to the Earth. It just so happens that the Moon is 400 times closer to the Earth than the Sun. Conveniently, as far as an eclipse is concerned, the Sun is 400 times larger than the Moon. This may give the appearance of the Sun and Moon being the same size in the sky sometimes.

To see how this lines up, first we calculate the Moon’s diameter, which is 2 times the radius given in the Coffin Texts as Spell 1080, we get 2 x 1,080 = 2,160. The Moon’s diameter is therefore 2,160 miles. Next, we simply multiply the Moon’s diameter of 2,160 by 400, we get 2,160 x 400 = 864,000, which is the diameter of the Sun. Remember also that 864,000 is the number of years given for the Dvapara Yuga from the ancient Hindu Texts, the Mahabharata.

The idea that ancient cultures were highly sophisticated enough to make such incredibly accurate astronomical measurements, has been quite naturally an acceptable idea for me. Most recently this has been demonstrated through the work of Robert Bauval and Thomas Brophy, Ph.D. in their book Black Genesis: The PreHistoric Origins of Ancient Egypt; 2011. Elucidating the possible motivation fueling the ingenuity of these pre-historic people, on pages 74 – 75, Buaval and Brophy refer to the “Serbian mathematician Milutin Milankovitch (1879-1958)” who in 1920

“…published his controversial paper that would become a foundation in the science of climate change. The Milankovitch Curve, as his theory is known, was based on an elegant and simple notion: the small, gradual, annual changes in Earth’s orbit around the sun as well as the spin of its axis when considered over many thousands of years, will create sizeable recurring cycles, causing the Earth to receive sometimes more, sometimes less light and heat from the sun, which will cause significant climate changes. These changes are the result of three phenomena of Earth’s movements: precession, obliquity and eccentricity.

1. Precession is a gyrating motion of Earth’s axis, which causes the planet to wobble like a spinning top, making a complete cycle every twenty-thousand years or so.
2. Obliquity is the angle of tilt that Earth’s axis makes with the plane of its orbit around the sun. This angle moves up an down in a slow cycle of about forty-one thousand years, known as the obliquity of the ecliptic. Today the angle is 23.4 degrees, but, for example, in 5000 BCE it was about 24.1 degrees. Like the precession cycle, astrophysicists today can calculate with a great deal of accuracy
   exact changes in future or past obliquity.
3. Eccentricity is the elongatedness (that is the perihelion and aphelion) of Earth’s elliptical orbit around the sun, which changes is a complex cycle of about one hundred thousand years.

These three effects–precession, obliquity, and eccentricity–when taken together cause long-term climate change every twenty to twenty-six thousand years–such as, for example, the great ice ages known to have occurred in the distant past.”

Even though the notion may have been ‘elegant and simple‘ in retrospect, working out these cycles and applying them to a workable system may be a bit more involved. Even so, the motivational factor for completing this system was apparently greater than any possibly limiting factors involved for a prehistoric people of Nabta Playa in Africa who succeeded in doing so. Discussing this on pages 76 – 77, Bauval and Brophy continue:

“Living all their lives in the open desert under the clear, cloudless sky, the prehistoric people of the Sahara were highly tuned to changes in the position of the celestial bodies, and the evidence at Nabta Playa shows that they were not only aware of the long term motion of precession but also that they must have placed great importance on this stellar cycle, because it seemed to effect the climate of the Sahara and, consequently their ability to survive in this region that depended so much on suitable seasonal wet conditions”.

“…the Sahara in Egypt is now generally regarded by paleoanthropologist as one of the crucibles, indeed if not the principle crucible, of civilization.

     Is it possible, then, that the ancient megalith builders of Nabta Playa somehow knew that there was a correlation between the cycle of the climate and the cycle of the stars? It may seem to us that this is entirely possible for a people that lived for millennia in a region where the conditions forced them to perform daily and nightly observations of the sun and stars and develop a great knowledge of the celestial cycles and, eventually, incorporate this knowledge into the ceremonial complexes at Nabta Playa“.

Emphasizing the potential magnitude of the implications regarding the technological capabilities of the ancient scientists described in Black Genesis, Bauval and Brophy refer to the information gathered directly from several archeological sites including the so-called Nabta Playa Calendar Circle, and computer simulations noting:

“If our conclusions are correct, then the Calendar Circle becomes far more than a snap-shot of a single observation of Orion in the night sky. Instead, it is an elegant and profound device to show the change caused by precession on the stars over vast periods of time. In other words, the Calendar Circle becomes a teaching instrument that demonstrates the precession of the stars. We are not proposing that the Calendar Circle was constructed eighteen thousand years ago but rather that it commemorates two important dates in the precession cycle of Orion–4900 BCE and 16,500 BCE–with the former date being the actual date of its construction and use as indicated by the radiocarbon dating and the latter date being some sort of memorial of an important event, perhaps a beginning in the history of those sub-Saharan herders who came to Nabta Playa in prehistoric times“.

Based on the references cite here, I have concluded that it is very possible that ancient and prehistoric people were sufficiently sophisticated astronomers to have obtained accurate measurements of the Sun, Moon, and numerous other components of our Solar System. If so, they probably passed on their masterful reverence for these sacred celestial sciences, to the cultures that came after them, encoded in mystical writings.

What if the Hindu Mahabarata texts are indeed referring to the radius and diameter of the Sun under the pseudonyms of Kali Yuga and Dvapara Yuga respectively? Might it be just as likely that the radius of the Moon has been faithfully recorded in the Egyptian “Coffin Texts” as Spell 1080? Ancient mysticism may have prehistoric, scientific, astronomical-astrological roots, conceived by our sky watching ancestors, who cast their wisdom in massive, stone monuments. The key to decoding them may survive within various mystical texts, in numerics, word of mouth, and the natural cycles of the Earth and stars as they angle their messages through the gateway of the stones.
