(Exercising Your Mind) On February 17th 2013, exactly one year after David Wood earned his first million-dollars with the company he founded, I joined him.

Of course I did not know this at the time, but I consider it to be significant.

I will write about that significance another time.

I had put myself in a pretty vulnerable situation by quitting my job when I had no money to pay my rent or to eat.

But it was a risk that I knew I had to take to fuel the fire of my personal growth and make a serious go of building my own business from home.

I did not use the term home-based business very often, if ever.

I had no idea what that was.

What I did know is that I have a powerful desire to be rich and wealthy by creating an income stream of my design on my terms.

I do not like working for most people in the way they want me to work for them.

So I am continually finding new and innovative ways to generate an income my way.

I have actually earned money in a home based business without having a home.

I think that is hilarious.

This is why I prefer to refer to my type of business as “mobile“.

Because I have learned how to build an income source from the road.

It actually is just part of being independent and free.

When you learn how to build a home based business, you can arrange certain parts of it in such a way to make money from anywhere with technology.

I am also learning now that the best technology is skill and reputation.

Let us just call this authority.

Because when you have a great reputation for having amazing skills that transform people’s lives, you can make money anytime from anywhere.

This is because there are a lot of things you can lose in life, but skill is not one.

You can lose your job, you can lose your car, you can lose your friends, and you can lose your home; but you will always have your skill.

This is why it is important to start learning the tools of freedom and independence right now.

Because the sooner you start, the sooner you will develop the transformational skills you need to change your life the way you want it to be.

But if you just wait around, and watch from the sidelines, you just might end up starving to death from your procrastination.

A vampire will starve to death if they do not drink the blood they need every day.

Your life can seem to fall apart if you stop having the income you need each day.

Have you heard the saying: “It is better to have a thing and not need it than it is to need a thing and not have it“?

This applies to having the skills to defend yourself as well as the skills to support yourself by building your own assets and business.

I have learned this all too painfully.

Because of how forcefully my employers on my jobs have demonstrated that I would be helpless to get the things I need to live if they were not paying me.

It really sucks to have other people control your income.

At least it does for me.

I have the personal experience of needing to have my own income generating business and not having it.

But I will not let that happen ever again.

Because now I have an income generating business that will be there even when I do not need it.

And with the skills I am learning to be able to make this happen; I will always be able to create something new whenever I want to.
