Into The Hypnotic Abyss: The World We Live In

The World We Live In

Into The Hypnotic Abyss

“How easy it is to repel and to wipe away every impression which is troublesome or unsuitable, and immediately to be in all tranquility.”
– Marcus Aurelius

(Exercising Your Mind) One day while in front of a classroom full of clinical hypnosis students, I was initiated into one of the master keys of living a life on purpose.

The instructor counted from zero to five and said

“…eyes open, wide awake; 1,2,3,4,5; eyes open, wide awake.”

He also made sure to tell me that I would no longer be in a suggestible state upon “waking” from the hypnotic trance he had just counted me out of.

I immediately noticed a difference in how I was perceiving the world.

It was familiar, but not often experienced.

It was like the liberating power I felt when becoming conscious in one of my very many lucid dream experiences.

I was now in total control, at least for the time being.

It would take a few more years of training and meditation before I was more and more often aware of my ability to control my  trance states.

I began to learn that I was in charge of what I allowed myself to be hypnotized by.

And how wonderful it was to realize, that this must also be the same for many other people I would be able to help with this skill.

After all, I was also a student in this school for clinical hypnosis.

And my purpose for enrolling was to be able to contribute something to my world by empowering others with the knowledge they would need to transform.

Because the world we live in teaches us something.

It teaches us a whole lot of lack and limitation, depending on who you are around and where you spend your time.

But eventually you come to find it in the media that we are exposed to.

It is part of the popular culture with all the mistakes of the past being repeated by the masses as if the lessons were never taught, or ever learned.

“The machine will break you, it was made to make you a slave.”
– Mindful; Born of Osiris

Sometimes it feels like there is actually a force of being in the world intentionally enslaving the minds of many.

Fortunately it is not so powerful that we can not use our awareness to overcome it.

No matter how far into the hypnotic abyss we may fall, there is a way out into the free.

All we have to do is understand the tools and techniques that create the state, experiment with it enough to recognize it, and then choose how we wish it to influence us, and when.

There is free will after all.

But you can free yourself from nothing if you do not first realize you are enslaved, and then, only if you know how to make yourself free.

You see, hypnosis can be used in many ways.

We can use it to enslave people or to free them.

I have chosen to use it to free myself, just like I was taught to do as a clinician.

And this is the very same way that I use it with others today as a vehicle for liberation and freedom of minds through knowledge and understanding.

One way to recognize if you are under a spell that is not good for you, is if you are doing things that you do not like to do on a regular basis, but do so anyway because you feel like you have to.

This is something that I have had to come to terms with myself, and it is something that we can explore together, if you are ready to take the journey.
