It was the very same thing that I was thinking at the time. I wondered how I could be doing so much for others through service and going the extra mile, yet not receiving enough to get by well.

He was big on personal development, and I owe that to him for being a great leader.
I realized then just how valuable personal development was but it has taken a while to develop myself personally. But I stuck to it on my own. And this was one of my problems.
