UniquilibriuM: Heuristic Philology; S.E.E.; 3rd-I; S3; A.N.D.; S.M.D.

By Hakeem Alexander

(Exercising Your Mind) I have coined and defined the term Heuristic Philology to mean Personal Development through the Love of Learning

I have come to understand that one of the primary keys to revolutionary creativity and progressive education is to be sufficiently motivated by joyful curiosity to learn. I find that joyful curiosity, or heuristic philology is even more important than the technical understanding of any one subject or specialty by itself.

Because of my ongoing interest in the power of language and communication, acronyms and single letter abbreviations have been wonderful compliments to maintaining consistent motivation through joyful curiosity for me.

These concepts are as usual adopted from my contact with varying systems and my very personal adaptations of them. I consistently reframe my subjective experience in this way as a means to better understand myself even if no one else does.

Synesthetic Mnemonic Device (SMD)

Anything that can help support my recollection and free-association faculties is always welcome. As such, I have even labeled these acronyms and abbreviations that I use as multi-sensory memory tools or preferably, Synesthetic Mnemonic Devices.

This is because words are symbols for my thoughts and are deeply connected to all of my different physical senses. As you may notice, SMD is itself one of these tools.

Alpha-Numeric Digitology (AND)

I have called the study (-ology) and creation of SMDs  Alpha-Numeric Digitology. Alpha-Numerics and the science of Numerology also play an important role in sustaining my joyful curiosity.

I especially like to use groups of three (3) symbols or digits as letters (alpha) and numbers (numerics) wherever possible, but this is not overly emphasized or necessary.

Subjective Experiential Education (S.E.E.)

One of our most readily available, inspiring and plentiful sources of information is our very own personal experience. It is this Mine of Mind that I call Subjective Experiential Education.

When we are mindful and paying close attention to our thoughts and actions within our ongoing experiences, we may learn and understand a great deal about ourselves and the world around us. Knowing about ourselves is one of the simplest and most effective ways to learn about others and everything else.

Scientists and professionals of all trades and industries contribute to and subscribe to various journals relevant to their craft as a supplement to their ongoing education and experience. In a manner consistent with this practice, we too might decide to use journaling and writing of our daily experiences to enhance our personal understanding.

By keeping a journal, we reenforce our memory and simultaneously record our activities that may perhaps be shared with others. By journaling as accurately as possible, we create an archive that we can review and integrate with our current endeavors. In this way we may learn from our mistakes and build upon ideas that may not have yet realized their full potential.

Independently Integrated Intelligence (3rd-I)

Our subjective thoughts are those of our own and are filtered by our individual perspective. As we are mindfully exercising our will, we can keep these personal experiences mostly independent from excess influence of the opinions of others and the imposing influences of the world around us. In this way we practice thinking for ourselves and being clear thinkers.

At the same time, it is important for us to also include or carefully integrate the ideas and perspectives of others when it is useful and beneficial. When we do this I believe we are the most intelligent, by finding a unique-equilibrium (as I say UniquilibriuM), or optimum balance between our own private outlook and the shared experience of others.

This is like having a 3rd-eye or ultimate foresight and efficient ability to make constructive decisions. Indeed this is why I have called it 3rd-I for Independently Integrated Intelligence.

Synaptic Syntax Sequencing (S3)

For me the best route to Personal Development is through the Love of Learning or Heuristic Philology. The ultimate teacher and classroom is my own Subjective Experiential Education (SEE). To organize my experience and to enhance my learning I use Alpha-Numeric Digitology (AND) to formulate Synesthetic Mnemonic Devices (SMDs) as multi-sensory memory tools.

This is in practice a conditioning of the synaptic relationships in my nervous system through the the dynamics of personally formulated patterns of language, or syntax, which then proceeds to elicit an ordered set or sequence of desired results – a Synaptic Syntax Sequencing.

Having the goal to become my personal best has inspired a very eccentric and beautiful sense of creative purpose within me.

With a fantastic blend of science and philosophy, I have been able to develop very useful personal strategies for myself for creating enjoyable maps to navigate happily through my life experiences.

Blending pragmatism with fantasy I daily embark on a progressive journey that not only serves me, but helps to benefit all whom it effects.
